Jamie Carragher says he now rates Raheem Sterling above Neymar and has compared his development to Cristiano Ronaldo during his time at Manchester United.
Carragher believes he now deserves to be mentioned int he same breath as some of the best players in the world and above PSG star Neymar.
He is now in the top five or six best attacking players in the world, in that group just below Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo,' he said to the Telegraph.
'I wrote recently he and Sadio Mane are the best left-sided players out there. I now rate Sterling above Neymar. His ambition, alongside Kylian Mbappe.'
Carragher then went on to compare Sterling's improvement in goal output to Cristiano Ronaldo's development at Manchester United.
I would go so far as to say there is a similarity with Cristiano Ronaldo's development at Manchester United,' he continued.
'As he does not take penalties or free-kicks like Ronaldo it is difficult to match his strike rate, but Sterling should certainly target 30 goals for City in this campaign and look to repeat those numbers for the peak of his career.'

i am Jamaican and would welcome this thought if it was true. Sterling is nowhere near Neymar. He hasnt got the magic or skills to be compared to him and thats the truth.

if Neymar wasn't injured the last two seasons....Sterling would never match his strike rate....19 in 20 matches in 2017/2018 and 14 in 15 last season .......Sterling is just all about speed and finishing.... . Neymar is all about Speed, magic dribbles, finishing, insane passing, magic freekicks and destructive skills
