Mohamed Salah should at least see out this season at Liverpool, says club legend Jamie Carragher.
Salah sparked controversy following Liverpool's 3-3 draw at Leeds United on December 6, when he claimed he had been "thrown under the bus" by the club.
The 33-year-old faced intense criticism for those comments, with Carragher among those to hit out at the Egypt international.
However, after being left out of Arne Slot's squad for Liverpool's Champions League win over Inter, Salah returned to the fold as a substitute against Brighton on Saturday.
He came on and assisted Hugo Ekitike's second goal in a 2-0 win, and in the process set a new Premier League record for goal involvements for one club (277).
Salah said farewell to the Liverpool faithful at full-time ahead of joining Egypt's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
And while his future remains up in the air, Carragher hopes Salah stays beyond the upcoming transfer window.
Carragher told Sky Sports: "I don't see Mo Salah playing for Liverpool next season. The big thing in my mind is, are we going to see Mo Salah from now until the end of the season?
"If he's thinking of moving on, I would urge him to think again. And the reason I say that is, if Mo Salah is to move from Liverpool now, the talk is he would go to the Saudi League.
"Liverpool in the second half of the season could get to the FA Cup final, the Champions League final. Can you imagine Mo Salah in Saudi Arabia watching Liverpool come out in Budapest in the Champions League final?
"He deserves a guard of honour, he deserves a mosaic in the Kop. He deserves to bring his wife and kids on the pitch in his last game and actually celebrate him for what he's done as a Liverpool player.
"So put your differences with the manager aside for four months and get this great big send-off."
Salah has scored 190 Premier League goals, the fourth most of all time. Wayne Rooney (208) is third, with Harry Kane (213) second and Alan Shearer in first on 260.

Sometimes a move out is timely, instead of watching the star dwindle from the limelight. It becomes very difficult to keep your high record in a disadvantaged season, ending in attracting shame. Move out would give Salah a restart!

why can't you advocate for Slot sack rather than talking rubbish with your dead brain about Chelsea. so as clueless as you're, you can defend Sallah to stay at Liverpool after all the issues with Slot and want Maresca sacked. You're sick and needs a psychiatric treatment.

Just move on, if the coach seriously thinks that you should be blamed, then move on somewhere else in europe. Here are real facts that only people with passion to football can understand, comparison is to last season: - Salah is receiving ball in tight areas full of defenders on the wing, both his dribble rate and shots got reduced. Amazingly, his key passes/90 mins increased of last season. Slot never noticed that. This makes sense cause it's unrealistic to dribble past crowded areas with 2 or more defenders. - Some were wrong to point that Salah doesn't tackle similar to Diaz. He never did and was doing amazing all of those years. - Core truth related to LFC form is the Full Back (FB), especially the RB. - Current experiments by Slot, such as Sobo, Jones, Gomez, Bradely occupying the RB is disaster, especially if Sobo plays as RB. Sobo fits as perfect midfielder. - Current RB experiments leads the RB to invert early or stays deeper, we have seen this many times, Arnold was perfect in that position despite many making fun of him. In effect the current RB does not overlap consistently with Salah. Do you expect Salah to perform when you pass to him in wing and no one else is dragging defenders? - Ok, lets ignore the RB, the RCM should help in those situations. Right? So what's happening right now is that there is no tactical structure at all by Slot. Roles are completely random. Current RCM stays close for circulation and rarely runs beyond the line to help Salah. To make things worse, the CF also stays central. - To sum it up, when they attack, they force the defenders to be static and packed (park the bus) So in summary, Salah is used now as a right side pressure sink only, and this is a structural misuse and lack of proper tactics and players selection by the coach. I challenge Slot to address those points in any interview. So... Salah... the gem... just move on where they can use you properly and shine as always. This is an advice from a true LFC fan.

Salah, should stay put in Liverpool and be a coach for junior in Liverpool Academy. I am very sure all juniors will love him be their coach. It is an opportunity for his children to enter the academy and progress under his coaching. I am sure Salah’s children will be one day be like him.
