On May 6th, Celtic's 2026-27 season home jersey was officially released. This new jersey, created by Adidas, incorporates commemorative design details based on the continuation of classic elements, with the overall theme paying tribute to the club's history.

From the overall appearance, this home jersey still uses Celtic's iconic green and white horizontal stripes (Hoops) as the design basis, which is the team's most recognizable visual symbol. However, compared to previous versions, this jersey has been significantly upgraded in details, especially in the color scheme and badge treatment, which are more commemorative.

The most striking feature is the addition of gold elements as embellishments throughout the jersey. Whether it is the brand logo or detail decorations, it is presented in gold, adding a layer of solemnity and glory to the entire jersey in the tradition. This design choice also echoes the commemorative theme of the jersey.

In terms of the team emblem, this jersey features a specially designed 60th anniversary badge. The badge has a more refined shape and is printed with the words "60º ANIVERSÁRIO" (Portuguese for "60th Anniversary") to pay tribute to Lisbon, the venue for the 1967 European Cup final. This detail not only strengthens the historical connection but also gives the jersey a deeper cultural significance.

The inside of the neckline also features an exclusive logo, printed with the words "LISBON LIONS - 1966/67", further paying tribute to that legendary team that went down in history. In the 1966-67 season, Celtic, under the name "Lisbon Lions," defeated Internazionale 2-1 in the European Cup final, becoming the first British club in history to win the European Championship, an achievement that is still widely remembered today.
