League One promotion rivals Portsmouth and Sunderland will face each other at a sold-out Wembley on Sunday in the final of the Checkatrade Trophy.
Before this season, the last time the two clubs met was in the Premier League in February 2010.
But they are not the only clubs to have reached the final of the EFL Trophy, in its various guises, and played in the Premier League.

Definately Norwich...and was hoping WBA would push on too, but with Moores sacking, which should never have happened, they have left it too late I think..but hopefully they do and go up aswell. Then its between others.

Hopefully Villa will go one better than last time. Who ever makes it will need to splash the cash. The team has played well under Mr. Smith and JT can see a bigger pay packet if they are promoted. The fat lady hasn't even started warming up yet but it will make interesting viewing.
