14' Hooked wide! A scramble ensues following Hazard set-piece
Hooked wide! A scramble ensues following a set-piece as Giroud's acrobatic volley is lashed back across the face of goal. It's met by Barkley, who puts it back into the danger area, but Rudiger scuffs his effort miles wide of the post as the chance amounts to nothing.
27'GOAL! Chelsea 1-0 Tottenham (Kante)
It's 1-0 at Stamford Bridge and 1-1 on aggregate as a corner isn't properly cleared, headed only as far as Kante who lashes an effort at goal from 20 yards. It somehow finds its way through the crowd, with Sissoko inexplicably failing to get a block in, before squeezing through the legs of Gazzaniga with the aid of a slight deflection!
38'GOAL! Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham (Hazard)
Hazard makes it 2-0 as he finishes a terrific team move, slotting into the far corner from eight yards on the end of a perfect assist from Azpilicueta from the right! It's been coming, and it's no less than the Blues deserve as they take a 2-1 lead on aggregate!
50'GOAL! Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham (Llorente)
It's 2-1 at Stamford Bridge and 2-2 on aggregate as Llorente pulls them right back in it with a terrific header on the end of an equally impressive delivery from Rose! Parity has been restored in the tie!
52' CHANCE! Giroud's shot saved
58' CLOSE! Hazard's shot wide out
JUST WIDE! A massive let-off for Spurs as Kante carves his way through midfield before playing Hazard through in acres of space on the left. The Belgian bursts into the area and takes aim, but uncharacteristically misses the target at the near post!
69' CLOSE! Lucas' shot wide out

Match Report
Chelsea battled past Tottenham to book a place in the EFL Cup final against holders Manchester City, triumphing 4-2 on penalties after a stirring 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri got the desired reaction, having questioned the mentality of his Chelsea players in the aftermath of Saturday's defeat to Arsenal, as N'Golo Kante and Eden Hazard overturned the 1-0 first-leg deficit before half-time.
Tottenham, without any of Harry Kane, Dele Alli or Son Heung-min in a competitive match for the first time since October 2016, found a response of their own by pegging Chelsea back with Fernando Llorente netting an aggregate equaliser.

Better luck next time Tottenham, it's unfortunate that you have to fight Chelsea for a trophy which is absolutely not possible for Tottenham to progress pass Chelsea. Well done Chelsea.

Although spurs where without KANE, SON, ALLI, LLORIS.. it would not have been a great final if it was City vs Spurs.. Bcoz most of their Elite players are Injured.. Looking forward to the Final.. TIKI TAKA VS SARRİBALL

Honestly Chelsea’s performance was a little shaky. I can’t lie, though I am a Chelsea fan after Juventus, Tottenham would have won with their attacking trio, Sarri needs to step it up unless he wants to get sacked.

Tottenham play great always. without their stars, it wasn't so easy against a full Chelsea team. Otherwise, I feel as if Tottenham was never meant to win trophies(play well but never win anything). maybe they need some more experience in the team of big names who have won titles like champion's league, World Cup, League cups

He Giroud been utilized by Hazard last evening Chelsea would not have gone all the way to a penalty shootout. Kante gives Hazard the ball,Hazard runs with the ball and Giroud is unmarked in the center and waiting for it. What does Hazard do?hits the side netting instead of crossing to his striker to tap in. All our wingers need to go if we are to stop blaming the strikers. We need wingers who will have an eye for a perfect pass to the striker than them trying to steal the show.

Why Pochettino will never win a silverware despite being seen as one of the best managers? I think he needs to fight for the silverware for Spurs to show that he's one of the best managers in the world. Otherwise he would just be a flop

The biggest problem with the italian coaches is players obsession than team obsession. Conte was obsessed to useless Bakayoko til he caused him his job. Sarri is obsessed with useless Jounihno til he will cause him his job. mark my words

Congratulations to the players. Outstanding save from Keppa. However, he puts the defense under undue pressure most of the time, he has to improve in his decision as to when to kick out the ball or build from the back. Furthermore, I hope Sarri took home some lessons from the game. Hazard is not a trained striker, I agree sometimes changes in formation could be necessary to deliver a win. Notwithstanding, there is a lot of improvement that needs to be done in the Chelsea squad. Sarri has to go back to the drawing table put some dynamism to game. Good performance from both team. Take nothing away from both sides. The players stood up the occasion, an absolute entertaining game tonight. We look forward to the final in February. Congratulations to Chelsea FC
