Chelsea are finalising a £30million deal for Villarreal star Nicolas Jackson, who is desperate to join the London side.
Earlier this week, reports suggested the deal may have hit some complications over the club's desire to pay in instalments.
While the Blues know the 22-year-old's release clause stands at £30m, they will try to negotiate the renumeration in a payment plan that involves structured payments, while the LaLiga outfit will also ask for a buy out.
It comes as Hakim Ziyech looks to be on his way out of the club, with the Moroccan close to an agreement with Al-Nassr.
He could be one of three Chelsea players moving to the Middle East this window, with N'Golo Kante having already signed for Al-Ittihad, while Edouard Mendy is currently in the process of agreeing terms with Al-Ahli.
Jackson, meanwhile, has already agreed personal terms with the Mauricio Pochettino's side, and could be a great asset to the club.
They are in desperate need of a No 9, having struggled in front of goal last season, scoring a meagre 38 goals throughout the campaign.
The Senegalese forward, who has three caps for his national side, could provide the answer in front of net that they're looking for and may perhaps be a cheaper option than the likes of Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Hojlund.
After missing several games during the middle of the season with a hip injury, Jackson found his form in the later stages of the campaign, scoring nine goals in eight matches, to end his LaLiga campaign with 12 goals in 26 matches.
The striker notably has the same agent as Brighton's Moises Caicedo and in a bid to replace Matteo Kovacic, who looks to be on the cusp of a move to Man City, Chelsea could make an £80m bid for the Ecuadorian after their £60m offer was rejected last week.
With Kai Havertz also set to move north to Arsenal after a £65m deal was agreed for the German forward, Chelsea could rake in a whopping £130m in transfer fees this month, with several players set to depart the club.

My guy,Enzo had been better for last season after coming through the January transfers window. Chelsea only need a midfielder in Caceido to partner with him and you gonna see the difference. Patiently,we need to wait for a little while and everything gonna turn out fruitful for the club.

Don't sign Moises Caicedo for £80m that's to much. He won't even benefit our team. Just look at Enzo, he was also over priced. There good players out there at a better price. But those players who are over priced are totally useless.
mate, you took it out of my mouth, Caicedo is a great player no doubts, but when do we stop buying over priced player. Enzo a fantastic player, was worth 10m less than 12 months ago. why do we wait till they become so expensive. we have a Santos in our cusp we a r not looking, but if it were another team, we will go pay heavily for him. we need good Scouting, won't Amrabat fit in that our midfield or a Brozovic, ......its musnt be the most expensive in the market.

bruh this Enzo you're talking about is playing well since joining the club, Moises Caiceso is also good, but just that the price is too high, but the club is in need of a Mid-field to pair Enzo.

I’m so much happy with Nicholas Jackson’s deal, he’s a top top footballer and a top top club would definitely pay more than £100m to sign him from Dortmund or Benfica!!
You dumb I don’t see Nicolas making any impact he is just an average player one season wonder this is just a gamble

Jackson just like Fofana are unproven commodities at a high level yes but that’s a strike partnership I’m hoping to see happen and stick…… if they don’t keep Lukaku!
