Chelsea have recalled Lewis Baker from his loan at Leeds United and are poised to let him join Reading.
The 23-year-old had struggled to make an impression at Elland Road making 14 appearances.
Reading have rejected an offer of £450,000 from Wigan to sign defender Tyler Blackett. The 24-year-old also has interest from Middlesbrough and Stoke City.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have also cut short midfielder Kasey Palmer's loan at Blackburn Rovers so that he can move to Bristol City on loan.
Palmer, 22, has only made ten starts at Blackburn this season and will become the third Chelsea player on loan at Ashton Gate, joining Tomas Kalas and Jay DaSilva.
