Chelsea are in the market for two of the Bundesliga’s star strikers.
Bayern Munich goal machine Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund’s Alexander Isak are on their radar.
We can reveal that contact has been made with Lewardowski’s advisors in the knowledge that the German giants are planning big changes to the squad.
Although Polish striker’s turns 31 in August it would still take a hefty transfer fee in the region of £70 million to tempt Bayern into selling a player who never fails to deliver in front of goal.
Since being lured from Borussia Dortmund five years ago Lewandowski has plundered 125 goals in 152 games.
His former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp would also be interested in bringing Lewandowski to Liverpool if he was available but so far it’s just Chelsea who have shown their hand.
That’s despite having a FIFA transfer ban hanging over them for the next two windows. They have launched an appeal and are hoping that it will be business as usual after their appeal is heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport later this month.
Chelsea are desperate to land a proven hit man with Alvaro Morata loaned out to Atletico Madrid after failing to impress, Oliver Giroud spending most of the time on the bench and the jury being out on Gonzalo Huguain.
It’s why they have struck up a conversation with Lewandowski’s people after maintaining their optimism that their forthcoming transfer ban will be eventually quashed.
Swedish striker Isak, 19, is currently on-loan at Dutch club Willem II – and the Blues had him watched in Saturday's clash with Ajax in Tilburg.
He has scored 11 goals in 11 games since moving to Holland.
And his brilliant first touch and nimble footwork has seen the 6ft 3ins forward compared to Swedish legend Ibra.
Stockholm-born Isak was nicknamed ‘Giraffe” when he was coming through the ranks at hometown club AIK because of his rangy build and long neck.
He was being watched by a host of clubs that included Real Madrid before Dortmund paid £14million for him in January 2017.
But his chances of impressing in the Bundesliga have been limited, prompting Dortmund to loan Isak to Willem II in the New Year.
The striker wasn’t happy with the move - but he has hit the goal trail in spectacular fashion in Holland.
Chelsea are in the market for a young striker after bringing in 31-year-old Gonzalo Higuain on loan from Juventus in January in a deal which includes an option to make the move permanent.
Madrid have continued to watch Isak’s development and are likely to rival the Stamford Bridge club if Dortmund show a willingness to sell.
Isak’s parents are from Eritrea, but he has already won four caps for Sweden.
Isak believes he’s heading for the very top.
He said: “I want to play for a really big club in a big league. I will see about my near future at the end of this season.”

Chelsea have curse of number 9. Like what happend with Crespo, Torres, Falcao and today Higuain. Lewandowski is very good striker but we should know how Higuain was good in serie A. I think young players are better for us than Lewandowski. Piatek for example. we will see if Lewandowski could break that curse or not

Total crapy. Pay over £70 million for a 31 year old striker. Do not believe any of this fabricated stories.
Cr7 34 yrs 100 mil. And lewa is easily worth that much. But a top striker would not want 2 go 2 a club like Chelsea anyway

Also may I add that Giroud is probably the most underrated striker currently
That still doesn't mean he's better than lewa... Lewandowski is in the top 3 strikers of the world, and no1 in that category wants 2 go 2 Chelsea 😂

Just bring back Tammy Abraham and Mickey Batshuayi not Lewandolski who's already 30+ yrs, Haven't we learned anything from Higuain's transfer? Giroud is already there to make Batman and Abraham grow
Unlike Higuain Lewy has not lost his form.

What Chelsea needs is a very good director of football and more young talents not someone who is already 30years of age, if Chelsea can handle the transfer ban situation then so many problems needs to be fixed giving young players chances to prove themselves on the pitch will only be a step for us in the future.

It's not gonna happen even if the ban is lifted because per club policy we don't give more than 1 year contract for players of 30+ years old
