Chelse fans are stuck at Luton Airport with lengthy flight delays halting their travel to Baku for the Europa League.
Thomas Cook offered return economy flights for the 2,468-mile trip to Baku at a price of £979 earlier this month.
One fan claimed on Twitter the reason behind the delays was a lack of fuel for the plane: 'Chelsea FC please sort this shambles of a trip to Baku out. I know Thomas Cook may be skint but no fuel for the plane? Really.'

Unfortunately Thomas Cook might not have a line of credit anymore since they are in financial dire straits, so in order to get fuel they would need to pay cash for it, which in this case would have to mean they go cap in hand to Chelsea and request them to pay for the fuel as I suspect Chelsea would have chartered the aircraft including fuel the club might not be too happy to pay out over and above the agreed charter cost, not to mention time is now running out to get there in time cos its a long flight and a new flightplan will be needed and possibly a new crew too depending on hours left on their rota
