Chelsea 'have joined the race to sign Endrick' and have held multiple meetings

Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are in a fight to land Brazilian wonderkid Endrick.

The 16-year-old striker has been viewed with significant interest, and last month, he broke the record for the youngest-ever player for Brazilian club Palmeiras.

He scored 165 goals in 169 games for the Palmeiras youth teams - and that impressive strike-rate has now attracted the attention of Europe's heavyweights, who are considering offers.

While Real Madrid believe that they are the frontrunners for his signature, he has had several meetings with the Blues recently, according to the Evening Standard.

Ligue 1 PSG are also involved in the bidding process, while many other clubs have been rumoured to be interested in Endrick once he becomes available.

While the hype is intense right now, any deal would hinge on Endrick only moving to Europe once he turns 18 in 2024, to abide by international rules.

Endrick’s father Douglas is involved in making the decision, and will prioritise offers that will encourage future development and growth.

He was an important part of Endrick's early career as a footballer, sharing videos of his four-year-old son on YouTube in a bid to be spotted by Brazil's best teams.

Endrick made his senior debut for Palmeiras last month aged just 16 years, two months and 16 days, and scored his first senior goals with a brace against Athletico Paranaense a fortnight ago.

Back in July, when Endrick turned 16, he told Sportsmail: ‘How do I cope with the hype? I try to remember that I’m very young.

‘I try to remember I’m still a child and that it’s only a game. I don’t want to take it overly seriously.

‘Yes, I want to be serious about my career but during the game I want to have as much fun as possible.’

That fun looks set to continue wherever in Europe his career takes him.
