Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea are said to be considering breaking the British transfer record in order to bring Inter striker Mauro Icardi to London.
Antonio Conte wants the Argentine to join Spanish international Alvaro Morata up-front at Stamford Bridge as the Italian coach looks to add depth to his side.
According to The Sun, the deal would cost the Blues 113 million euros, which would exceed the current record fee set by Paul Pogba when he joined Manchester United.
With 11 goals already this season, the 24-year-old is being touted as one of the best players in Serie A and has assumed a key role in Inter's revival whilst wearing the captain's armband.
Given the investment into the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza side of late and his importance to the team, it remains to be seen if Icardi would consider a move.

Big Move for the Inter Captain, Mauro Icardi ... I find this Impossible. Inter is just re building them selves and I think they are not ready to loose their key player at any value..

This news is a bloody turn-off its never going to happen.chelsea would never sign icardi to become a back up to morata & icardi would never accept a back up role. Anywhere he goes he would like to be first choice. This news is false and not enough to be a rumor.
