Chelsea are exploring a deal for Brighton striker Joao Pedro who will be allowed to leave this summer.

The 23-year old missed Brighton's game against Liverpool on Monday after a training ground altercation with teammate Jan Paul Van Hecke.

Chelsea are among a number of teams interested but it is understood they held a meeting on Tuesday regarding the Brazilian who cost £30million from Watford in 2023.

Chelsea would be willing to offer around £50million with the possibility of other players being offered in the deal, potentially even on loan.

Chelsea want to add a striker this summer and have held meetings over a move for Ipswich Town's Liam Delap also.

The 22-year old has a £30million relegation clause and is also wanted by Manchester United, notably, as well as Newcastle and Everton, among several others.

Meanwhile, Brighton have agreed to sign PSV Eindhoven defender Olivier Boscagli.

The 27-year old will join on a free once his contract ends with the Dutch champions next month.

Brighton had tried to sign the Monaco-born left-footer last summer but had an £8m offer rejected.

Brighton, who have also agreed to sign Tommy Watson from Sunderland, are pursuing a deal to sign highly rated 17-year old Olympiacos striker Charalampos Kostoulas which could see Abdallah Sima go the other way.

They have also made offers for Botafogo left-back Cuiabano. The 22-year old has previously been a target for Fenerbahce.
