Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has released a statement confirming he is no longer represented by his former agent Manuel Sierra, who helped negotiate his move to the Blues
Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has issued a bombshell statement confirming he has parted ways with his former representative Manuel Sierra.
Taking to Instagram, the announcement declared: "Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former football agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic. The contract ended on August 14, 2025 and the player has now appointed people he can trust."
The closing line of his declaration is particularly fascinating, hinting that a potential rift may have occurred. However, shortly afterward, Caicedo deleted the post.
Mirror Football has contacted Sierra for comment. Sierra played a key role in securing his switch to the Blues from Brighton despite Liverpool reportedly presenting a more secure proposition.
Meanwhile, Barat currently looks after several high-profile footballers recently linked with Chelsea including Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson.
It was believed that Caicedo also fell under his representation, but the statement above has clarified this is not the situation.
The Ecuador international has been superb throughout this campaign, netting two spectacular strikes whilst delivering relentless performances in the engine room.
Caicedo has stayed at Cobham during the October international window, being amongst the players managing a minor concern. "This afternoon we are going to assess Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos," Enzo Maresca revealed in a press conference before the Champions League clash against Benfica in late September.
"They are all players, unfortunately for us, with some small problems. "So, we will see tomorrow if they are going to be available. For sure, in this moment, we have injuries, but I think we have enough in the squad to replace the injuries that we have."
Caicedo proceeded to complete the full 90 minutes in that 1-0 triumph and managed to do so again just days later during the massive 2-1 success over Liverpool.
Chelsea will be aiming to secure a third straight win this weekend when they make the trip to the City Ground for Saturday's lunchtime clash against Nottingham Forest.
Pedro and Caicedo are anticipated to be available despite sitting out international duty for Brazil and Ecuador respectively, though there are worries surrounding Enzo Fernandez following his departure from Argentina's squad.
His country were scheduled to face Puerto Rico in the early hours of Wednesday morning, but he will now miss out and has returned to Cobham hoping to be fit for Chelsea.
