Chelsea linked with Sergio Romero
Firstly, Chelsea are being linked with another goalkeeper despite already having Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga on their books.
Sergio Romero spent several years serving as back-up to David de Gea at Manchester United.
However, the Argentine left the club this summer when his contract expired having fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford a fair bit after Dean Henderson returned from his loan.
And now, reports stemming from England claim that Romero is now being considered by Chelsea.
This comes with Willy Caballero having departed Chelsea last month and the Blues now in the market for a third keeper:
Blues keeping tabs on Lewandowski
Chelsea’s search for some fresh legs up top now appears to have taken them to Robert Lewandowski.
Goal report that Chelsea’s mission is to sign a world-class striker and they have now been asked to be kept informed about Lewandowski’s Bayern Munich situation.
Bayern are said not to be keen on a sale, but the Polish international could reportedly be tempted by a new opportunity overseas.
The report also mentions the Blues’ interest in Erling Haaland, but Borussia Dortmund are said to be resolute in their stance that they will not depart with the Norwegian this summer unless it is for an offer well over £100m.
Kimpembe interests Chelsea
Finally, Chelsea are believed to be interested in French centre-back, Presnel Kimpembe.
L’Equipe are reporting that the arrival of Sergio Ramos at PSG has put Kimpembe’s position under threat and Chelsea may sense a chance to tempt the defender away from the Parc des Princes.
It is added that the London-based outfit have been keeping tabs on Kimpembe and seeking a way to lure him to Chelsea for some time, with this remaining the case this summer as well.
