Mateo Kovacic is going through a complicated moment.
On the one hand, Chelsea are fighting for the Europa League and with it Champions League qualification, but it is a delicate time as they deal with the FIFA punishment of being unable to register players in the next two windows.
There are many unknowns surrounding Roman Abramovich's club and he appears more concerned with a possible sale than with making them a powerful team like they were in the past.
The Croatian depends on the Court of Arbitration for Sport helping out and delaying the sanction imposed on the Blues.
His deal ends on June 30 and Chelsea cannot exercise their purchase option on him if the penalty isn't reduced or delayed.
Kovacic intends to continue playing in the Premier League, where he feels comfortable, happy and important, something that he sought when leaving Real Madrid last summer.
His plan was to continue at Stamford Bridge where he has found what he was looking for and which he was deprived of under Zinedine Zidane at Los Blancos.
Chelsea's punishment has delayed the decision-making deadlines and his future is something that is under the microscope during the international break while he is away with his country.
Several English sides have already shown an interest in signing the former Inter man but his priority remains Chelsea.
Among the other big name Croatians linked with summer moves are Ivan Rakitic and Ivan Perisic, although Luka Modric's future has been put to rest after he penned a Real Madrid extension.

sorry Kovacic, but now its your time to go,and we have a player thats coming to replace you,and he can also kick the ball into the net,now like yoy Christian Pulisic😍❤👑⚽ like klopp said"pulisic is a coutinho style of play"
Pulisic will replace hazard on the line.We have a ban don’t you hear?We should be struggling to buy Kova before Ross and RLC all get injured on a frequent basis .Also, recall Mason Mount.

He was good at Madrid. At Chelsea he's flop. Same thing with Morata and James

The guy seemed so sure he'd be a starter at Chelsea and we were underappreaciating him lol. I hope we get a good amount of money for him. Maybe use him as a makeweight in a pote ntial mbappe or hazard deal
He is not our player but only loaned to the club,we cannot use him as a makeweight for anything because if the report returns and the answer is no,Kova will wall away on the last day of the season. In my opinion Kova has contributed nothing to Chelsea other than retard the development of RLC but other than contributing in the final third Kova is somehow helping a bit in defence more than Jorginho. That must be noted and he must be judged by what he hasn’t done against what he has before drawing a line across his name.

I really agree with you bro..... he is not an offensive player

Kovacic has been a zero offensively (and this is a team that needs offense desperately), but it's not like Barkley is lighting it up in the final third -- not enough to trump what Kovacic brings holistically anyway.

I think Kova has hit a road block, hasnt developed well for 2 years now. Im afraid if that continues he wont make it at RM or other Elite clubs.

If kova is returning to Madrid and staying here It's pretty sure that somebody has to leave

I believe Kovacic would still want a move. If his agent can find a club to meet his valuation. Perez won’t hesitate to sell him. I don’t see Kova revisiting his old role as a squad player under Zidane.

He is coming back. Chelsea have recently banned- they can not sign any player- and Zidane wants him back. No one can play his role on the squad.

He is a strange player he is gd at dribbling but actually his best position is casemero own or especially a doble pivot like vs psg or vs atletico in the old calderon he played cdm second leg of the super cup n that remains the only game in last 15 years where we outpossed barca

Kova became a key player in the “B team” under ZZ. Reckon that along with other players he will feel like he is worth more than a sub and want to move on from RM

He did some amazing performances under Zidane in big occasions, i taught ceballos would leave and kova stays but it was not the case, anyway i hope he will be back he’s a great player and may be Luka’s successor

I belive he'll end up back in Inter, with Icardi going the other way. Still belive Mourinho might end up in Inter.

He's improved a lot from Inter to Real Madrid. Just hasn't improved at Chelsea.

He played really important minutes in the Champions League run, and has been really good in big games as a starter. He may not have started when everyone was fit, but with rotations / health concerns so often, he was a key player.

Really don't want him back after he forced a move last summer and saying goodbye. He has looked average at best at Chelsea.

he is class below Ceballos imo, he tries, but his decision making is quite awful as is his tactical awareness

Zidane treated him quite well actually, he was the first choice off the bench over ceballos & llorente (no one was starting over the trio). But the conduct he showed last summer was bad, needs to be sold asap

he never really showed class there either so I guess Zidane's treatment of him has been justified. Needs to leave

He is on a season loan, and no option to buy. He will return to Real Madrid once his season is over.

I would still rather go for Isco if he is available in the summer, Kovacic is good but is not a goal scoring midfielder, Isco would probably score at least 10 a season

Very very good midfielder. I only Chelsea can buy him permanently. He fits sari system so well.

I actually wish he offered more going forward or would battle Jorginho for the starting role instead of Barkley or RLC. The Jorginho, Kante, Kova midfield doesn't much of an attacking threat. Madrid won't sell him as he will be the replacement for Modric

Kovacic is a flop now. We don't need him. Chelsea should field young promising talents instead with the likes of Hudson-Odoi , Loftus Cheek and Tammy Abraham
