Things are going from bad to worse at Chelsea with two more injuries in defeat to Manchester City meaning Graham Potter is without 10 first team stars.
Both Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic were forced off injured on Thursday night, joining a busy physio room at Stamford Bridge.
As well as the two wingers, eight other players are currently sidelined, leaving an under pressure Potter shy of first-choice options.
Sterling was taken off five minutes in after picking up an issue in his first involvement of the game.
Twenty-two minutes in and Pulisic, after contact on his knee following a cross-shot, was soon joining him.
For Potter, he has been left to bemoan torrid luck which is adding to his woes of not getting results.
'Raheem, first action in the game. So it was a strange one, a backheel,' Potter said after the 1-0 loss to Man City.
'And then obviously Christian is full pelt and it's a cross or a shot and it is contact with his knee. Fingers crossed it is not too bad.'
Chelsea were handed a blow in the lead-up to the game with Mason Mount picking up a knock in training, meaning he could not feature.
'Mason got a kick yesterday as well but we are hopeful for the weekend. It is just one of those things at the moment. I've never experienced anything like it.
'Obviously I wouldn't like to experience it ideally here but it is what it is and I'll just have to carry on.'
He added: 'The expectation is where it is so you want to be here and have all your players available and have a fully fit squad and be able to compete.
'You know the demands of our supporters, who I thought were fantastic today, really supportive and got behind the team in a great way but it is frustrating for everyone at the moment.'
Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, defenders Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Ben Chilwell as well as N'Golo Kante, Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Armando Broja are also currently out.
Pressure is building on Potter now following the latest home defeat.
Since October 16 Potter, who took over from Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, has taken just six points from 24.
'No [it's not good enough for Chelsea] if you just analyse that in terms of points in the amount of games then it's hard for me to argue against it.
'Obviously there are factors you have to consider. The margins of the Premier League are, that's a narrow defeat to Manchester City a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle with nine injuries, a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, a bad day against Brighton, a draw with Manchester United and a draw away with Brentford and Nottingham Forest.
'Points wise, no, hard to argue, margins and the situations I'd say it's more about how we play and I think in terms of analysing how you can improve we took a step forward today in terms of our performance.'

actually Potter was right in the game against city bcx we play well without key players, but in sm previous matches the spirit, intensity was lost, I think dt he potter know the history of our dear club about sacking manager's, even the special one, anceloti, conte, the gaffer him self and many big couches dt gone, so he make a big mistake by coming to a big club dt demand trophy's all season, the experience was lost and the presure was higth bcx he didn't taste it before, but TT has taken our club when many problems happened to Chelsea still produce result, the main problem is behind the pitch English manager's.

we are talking about this season m8 not three years ago and you have not explained why you concided six to city
Actually what you were talking was an imaginary situation of United with no basis whatsoever. So I gave you the closest fact to show your ridiculous point. Geesus. How stvpid can someone be? Nothing to explain about Ten Hag's first few games in a new league with new team where he scored 3 and conceided 6 unless you just start watching football yesterday.

We are just so unlucky with so many injuries this season.. We can't use this as excuses because injuries are part of football and it has happened to some other teams before and still happening..

if utd had 10 first team players injured you would be in relegation not to add our injury hit team dominated city and lost by a narrow goal and your fully fit squad got hit SIX!just mind your own business
