Chorley celebrate another FA Cup giant-killing with rendition of Adele after stunning Peterborough

Chorley celebrated reaching the third round of the FA Cup for the first time by belting out their club anthem - Adele's chart-topper 'Someone Like You'.

After beating Wigan in the first-round earlier this month, the non-league side claimed another League One scalp with a 2-1 victory over promotion candidates Peterborough.

Chorley had celebrated their victory over Wigan by singing Adele's No 1 hit from 2011, with the video getting close to a million views on Twitter.

And it was a familiar tune blaring out in the changing room as players and staff belted out the song while banging on the table and tactics board.

The non-league club were huge underdogs going into the game with Peterborough second in League One and they found themselves 1-0 down after just two minutes when Jack Taylor smashed in a loose ball from a corner.

The Posh took a 1-0 lead into the second half but Chorley, who came from two goals down to beat Wigan 3-2 in the first-round, remained patient and got their rewards when Conor Hall capitalised on some slack defending to equalise.

Two minutes later the visitors were ahead when Lewis Baines struck at the back-post although it was unclear whether Mike Calveley got the final touch.

Chorley could have made it 3-1 after Harry Cardwell won a penalty in the 76th minute but the striker's spot-kick was saved by Christy Pym.

Managed by head teacher Jamie Vermiglio, the part-timers outperformed Darren Ferguson's League One outfit and deservedly held on for a famous victory.

Peterborough had only made one change from their last league fixture but were unable to find a way back into the game.

Chorley will now be hoping to draw one of the big teams after making the third-round at the 85th time of asking.
