Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke has been ordered to rest a niggling knee injury after withdrawing from the Belgium squad.
The 27-year-old will miss Belgium's games against Scotland and Iceland but is also a doubt for Palace's next Premier League match against Huddersfield Town.
Benteke has only recently been recalled to the national side despite failing to score this season and coach Roberto Martinez confirmed: 'There are some worries around Benteke's knee.'
Benteke picked up the injury in pre-season and has persevered only to be told now that rest may be the best initial cure to see if his knee pain settles.
The striker has yet to score in the four Premier League appearances that he has made so far this season.
Palace also have concerns over Wilfried Zaha's hamstring and James Tomkins who has a calf strain.
Defender Scott Dann, meanwhile, remains out with a knee injury, although he could be back by the end of this month.
Roy Hodgson's side are currently in 15th place in the Premier League having taken three points from their four games.

Playing internationals is less demanding than at a top club in league and cups. No doubt awarded golden boy over a tournament - what 6 or 7 games. Ronaldo and Messi as with all top world players are consistent for 90% plus of club games for many seasons. Stupid award and likely a pushy agent gets him to a club he's not good enough to be at yet.

How did he make the squad? They must need someone to cut the half time oranges.
