The United States men’s national team ace revealed the bad relationship he had with the former Chelsea manager, especially during important matches.
Christian Pulisic was disappointed that Chelsea didn’t let him leave on loan during the summer transfer window and he had to fight for minutes when Thomas Tuchel was in charge. A few weeks later the German manager parted ways with the club and now the United States international revealed how tense his relationship was with Tuchel.
Pulisic opens up
On 18 October, Pulisic will release a book called “Christian Pulisic: My Journey So Far” and in it he talks about his career far away from home. In this book, the 23-year-old talks about his relationship with Tuchel and how uncomfortable he has been at Chelsea due to his lack of minutes with the World Cup set to begin in a few weeks.
Pulisic also talked about a specific incident prior to the semi-final against Real Madrid in the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League. Chelsea ended up winning 5-4 on aggregate to advance to the final of the tournament and the United States international was a key player in helping the team to eventually win the trophy, the second in the club’s history.
“What happened before that game was hugely disappointing for me. l’d had a really good first leg performance and our following match was against Fulham in the league,” Pulisic said in an excerpt of his upcoming book. “Tuchel told me that he was resting me for the second leg and as a result, I didn’t play a single minute in the Fulham game. Then on match day of the second semi, Tuchel tells me he’s changed his mind and he’s going with Kai [Havertz]. I honestly was dumbfounded and very disappointed.”

Havertz has been inconsistent and a bit lazy yet Tuchel never stopped using him. Havertz only shows up in big games but lazy to put in his all vs average teams.
the same thing under Lampard, even at Dortmund he was inconsistent, that's why Sancho benched him from nowhere

yes he's been inconsistent from late last season and this season, but you have to judge him since he joined Chelsea, overall remarks on his Chelsea career so far, Pulisic is worst, you see him play one good game in January and then he's off till April before he will have another good performance, that's not Chelsea standard, De bruyne and Salah were never given such time, De bruyne never play a full season at Chelsea before falling out with mourinho and mourinho thought he was doing him bad when he sold him out, Salah joined Chelsea in January transfer window and never start the following season at Chelsea, how many years have pulisic spent at Chelsea? he's played 3 seasons

no player deserve more when underperforming, those players you called won't make it as regular starter under any manager, starting every match is earned not given and instead of the inconsistent player to concentrate and win his place, he wanted to use mouth and win the new coach's heart, you will soon come out and say potter have personal issue with him soon

Chelsea should learn from Real Madrid. It's has a history of having a first 11 of superstars who cosistance is key. Not today your on nxt week your off. As a professional you hav to make it difficult for a coach to leave u on the bench. Best players always spend their life in the first 11 at any club.

Very often plays blame the coach or bad mouth the coach but and sometimes we forgive the great players because they contributes plenty but an average guy like Pulisic sounds like a joke

There was something petty about Tuchel to be honest. I've long felt he had personal issues with some players in the squad. The likes of Odoi and Pulisic deserves more but hardly got any. Good he's gone now so we don't lose exceptional talents just because he preferred his compatriots.
