Chelsea news - Cole Palmer could make his debut for Chelsea against Nottingham Forest, following on from his switch from Manchester City
The Blues are looking to continue their momentum with three wins in a row and back-to-back victories in the Premier League. The West London outfit drew with Liverpool in their opening clash before a disappointing defeat to West Ham in the following match.
Victory over Luton Town followed though, finally adding their first three points to the board before they switched out league action for the league cup. League Two outfit AFC Wimbledon made the short trip to the Bridge, where they put up a stern test, but quality ultimately told as Chelsea progressed in a 2-1 win.
The youngster is able to play out wide and as a number ten, giving the head coach plenty to work with when it comes to team selection. It was a move that the former Tottenham boss was complimentary of in his pre-match press conference when asked about the impact.
"I think it was when the sporting directors and owners translate the idea to add him to the squad, I think he is fit for the project and a young and talented player," Pochettino told the media. "He decides to come because he expects to play maybe more and be and be important here but I think that is not the most important, the important thing is he wants to come because he has seen Chelsea has a project for him and a way to improve his game and to be more involved. The quality is there and the potential and now he needs to prove and show he is better than his teammates. It's about fighting for his place."
When it comes to fighting for his place, it remains to be seen whether Palmer will be handed his debut straight away against Nottingham Forest. However, he may well have hinted at it in a social media post before the game, taking to Instagram to post to his story.
The youngster had a pre-match hype graphic drawn up that includes himself as the main image alongside information on the match ahead. It could well suggest he will be given his first start for the Blues, though there is no guarantee that will be the case, with players posting them in the past and not starting.
It remains to be seen what the outcome will be, but he will certainly be hoping a debut can be followed up with all three points by the end of it.

Despite of having good run, good pre season and we fan wants him to start on pitch as soon as possible but I think he should take some time. Start with some subs game or league game before starting EPL.
