Colombia's No.10 wins their Copa America opener

Even without James Rodriguez, Colombia got off to a winning start at the Copa America by beating Ecuador 1-0 on Sunday night.

Edwin Cardona got the game's only goal for Colombia, wearing the No.10 shirt vacated by James' exclusion from the squad.

While James has been doing his best of late to cause controversy and division in response to his omission from the squad by coach Reinaldo Rueda, Colombia looked united and that was seen in how the players celebrated Cardona's goal.

Television controversy

There has been some backlash in Spain due to the lack of television coverage being given to the Copa America, with an exception being in Galicia, where Brazil's 3-0 win over Venezuela was shown.
