Antonio Conte has appeared to take a swipe at his former side Tottenham while also hinting at his plans to step back into management.
The Italian manager is currently out of work following his unceremonious exit from Spurs in March.
But in the past week, Conte has been heavily linked with a move to Napoli having expressed his desire to take over as the side's head coach, amid rumours that the club could terminate the contract of their current boss Rudi Garcia.
Despite that speculation, the 54-year-old has been reflecting on his managerial career and spoke about his past success with Chelsea and Juventus while also seemingly taking a dig at Spurs.
He told Gazetta dello Sport: 'One day I would like to train a team that has recently won, because for example I took Chelsea coming off seventh place, Juve were seventh too.'
His contract with the north London outfit was mutually terminated earlier this year, following an explosive press conference that saw him slam his own players.
In his absence, Tottenham went on to finish eighth in the Premier League, but they have kicked into a new gear at the start of the 2023-24 campaign.
Under his permanent replacement Ange Postecoglou, Spurs are unbeaten so far this season and currently sit joint top of the table after eight games.
Conte, meanwhile, could soon be back in management and has previously spoken on the rumours that he could join Napoli.
The Italian is reportedly 'keen to take over as their head coach', but he was remaining tight lipped on where his next position could be during his interview with Gazetta.
'Now I have unplugged to spend more time with my family and for myself,' he added.
'I continue studying, seeing what changes there are in the sport and understand new situations.'
'When I do return, I will be even more ready to handle the top challenges.'
'After Tottenham, I promised to dedicate time to family, it's a lifestyle choice.
'After that, I will be ready to get back to the battle. And when I do, it will be tough for everyone else.'

Conte want to take a team that just won with the effort from another manager and now he can just sit and wait for miracles. he really doesn't sound like a prolific Coach. plz go to Arteta or de zerbi for a lesson how to transform a team

A club that recently won will not let go off their winning coach to accommodate you. A club that is looking for a new coach is a club that is on the down.
