Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Manchester United at end of season

Cristiano Ronaldo's second spell at Manchester United has been completely different to the first six years that he spent at Old Trafford.

Poor results, problems in the dressing room and off-field controversies have not helped the Portuguese forward, who has struggled to hit the heights of previous years.

According to The Sun, the 37-year-old is weighing up the possibility of leaving the club at the end of the season, which would bring an end to his contract that runs until the summer of 2024.

His blistering start to the campaign saw him score five goals in his first four matches, and it appeared that he would lead The Red Devils to end their five-year trophy drought.

However, United's season has since disintegrated, with Ronaldo now considering his future ahead of the summer transfer window.

Time has also impacted his decision

The English publication has stated that Ronaldo is unhappy with the quality of the players in the squad at United, with the club's decline since his departure in 2009 clear to see.

However, the problems are not only limited to his teammates, with The Sun also reporting that he has told his close circle that he is feeling the effects of his age for the first time in his career, which is also causing him to think about bringing his time at the club to an end.

Paris, Zidane and Ronaldo's next destination

Ronaldo is still one of the best players in world football and Paris Saint-Germain are considering the possibility of signing him in the summer.

His name appears to be one of the first that Zinedine Zidane has recommended to sporting director Leonardo to sign, should he become the new coach in the summer.

PSG have already tried to sign the Portuguese forward in the past, although they were unable to convince him to join.

However, according to the English press, this time Ronaldo looks set to join PSG and link up with Lionel Messi and Neymar, if he does indeed leave Manchester United at the end of the season.
