Cristiano Ronaldo's revealed a brand new celebration during Manchester United's clash with Everton and it appears to be catching on already.
The Portuguese star normally carries out his trademark 'SIUUU' celebration after scoring but decided to mark his 700th club level goal on Sunday with something new.
Having scored the winner in United's 2-1 victory over Everton, Ronaldo celebrated by closing his eyes, clasping his hands and interlocking his fingers in an apparent show of 'peace of mind'.
Players around the world are already mimicking Ronaldo's latest celebration. A Benfica youth player decided to replicate the action after putting his side 2-1 ahead against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Youth League.
An 18-year-old winger called Diego Moreira slotted the ball home at the back post in the 38th minute of the game before running over to the corner flag to celebrate.
The youngster - who has already played for the club's first XI - closed his eyes, clasped his hands and interlocked his fingers just like the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Moreira and his side went on to win the 3-2 - with the other two goals scored by 19-year-old Luis Semedo.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo's strike on Sunday evening marked his second goal of the season and his first in the Premier League.
Ronaldo's only other goal of the season came against Moldovan minnows Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League on September 15.
Nevertheless, Ronaldo's goal was an important one. It saw the 37-year-old reach another milestone in his storied career.
Ronaldo's effort saw him reach 700 club level goals. They have equated from his time at Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United (twice), Real Madrid and Juventus.
He scored five goals in 31 appearances for Sporting, 450 in 438 matches for Real and 101 in 134 games for Juventus.
In his first spell for United he netted 118 times in 298 fixtures for the club and in his current second stint has 26 in 48 matches.
Meanwhile, on the international stage, Ronaldo has scored a world record 117 goals in 191 international games since making his Portugal debut in 2003.
