Crystal Palace have signed former West Ham and Ipswich goalkeeper Stephen Henderson and he will join his new team-mates for their pre-season tour to Switzerland.

Henderson, 31, will provide cover for Vicente Guiata and Wayne Hennessey as Eagles No1.

He has played for a dozen clubs in his career including Charlton and Portsmouth and was released by Nottingham Forest at the end of last season.

Palace will take their time to replace right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and will also look at an additional loan striker with Michy Batshuayi and Jordan Ayew who have returned to their parent clubs, Chelsea and Swansea.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard won't make any of his 35-man squad available until he has assessed them all on pre-season tour.

Wilfried Zaha, a target for Arsenal, has been representing Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations so won't be on Palace's tour.

Unai Emery's club are still a long way short of Palace's valuation of £100million for the winger.
