Patrick Cutrone was on Radio 105 and he spoke about Milan and his music taste.
Milan have been struggling greatly at the start of the season as they’ve only won one match from the opening four rounds, collecting just 5 points from 12.
The defense has proven to be vulnerable while the attack is not clinical enough, but that could change when Cutrone returns from injury, as he’s been dealing with an ankle problem since coming back from international duty and he missed the Cagliari and Atalanta games. The forward didn’t train with the group today and is in doubt for Thursday’s Empoli match, but he did give an interview to Radio 105.
“My condition? I’m fine, I’m in the phase of recovery. My morale doesn’t go down when I don’t play but I do get nervous because I don’t see the ball [laughs],” the 20-year-old, who was the Rossoneri’s top scorer last season in all competitions, told the radio station on Monday.
“My experience so far? It’s still a dream, I haven’t done anything… being the Milan striker is a starting point. Arriving from the bottom? I have always believed in it. It helps always training with Milan which is a great club, I’ve been here since I was 8-years-old. There was not a moment when I realized that I can ‘do it’, but when I was on Tour in China, Montella gave me confidence and I repaid it against Bayern Munich. It wasn’t known yet if I would leave or stay. There I started to think I can make it.
“How to score many goals? You must be hungry and gritty, especially near the goal. You need to think about it, sometimes I think about it the night before: I imagine the goals I can score. It’s all a matter of mentality. Doing something else in my life? I always thought of being a footballer. Of course, with the support of my parents, I also engaged in my studies, which was important.
“The arrival of Higuain and his presence at Milanello? We all know what a striker Higuain is, he’s a phenomenon. It helps me to train with him and I will try to ‘steal’ something from him. I’m creating a good relationship with him, I’m happy to have Gonzalo on the team. In the training games we are against each other and there is competition, and it’s hard, very hard.
“Maldini and Gattuso in the club? It’s known what Paolo and the coach have done so there is no word to describe them. It’s an honor to be coached by Gattuso and it’s an honor to have il Capitano around Milanello. I was less calm in front of Maldini the first time I met him, I didn’t know what to say. Now I’m getting used to it, we talk often and he gives me advice. We often talk to each other.
“My idol striker? I didn’t have one in particular. I really liked Filippo Inzaghi because he scored a lot of goals for Milan. I also liked Álvaro Morata because he was young and showed he was strong. There are also Robin Van Persie, Didier Drogba, all the great strikers. The strongest defender I’ve met? Thinking about it I don’t know… but I say my defenders in training. There is always a lot of competition in training, I never want to lose and the same goes for my teammates.
“Dreams outside the pitch? There are so many teams but I want to make them in football. I think about the present, I think about doing well and training well, preparing myself for match after match. If I’ll be happy with 10 goals this season? I can score more [laughs].
“My favorite song to help me concentrate? One song in particular is Believer by Imagine Dragons. It gives me serenity and fire. Songs I listen to most? A bit of everything, from Italian to English music. I like Enrico Nigiotti, I went to the X Factor final and I liked it. The most heard song at the moment? New York by Thegiornalisti. I like rap, but I prefer quieter, more Italian music, like Thegiornalisti. I also get charged-up by House music. The DJ in the Milan locker room? The DJ changes but usually Çalhanoğlu puts the music.
“Being calm? In life yes, on the field no. I like being serene but I’m a different person on the pitch.”

I’d assume that the players would want to sacrifice themselves for a coach like Gattuso.
