You could be forgiven for thinking Jose Mourinho didn't get much right at Manchester United after his eventually painful exit.
But Red Devils full back Diogo Dalot has opened up on the side to his former boss which perhaps helped once make him the 'Special One'.
Dalot made the daunting switch from his native Portugal to join his fellow countryman Mourinho at United in the summer.
And speaking to Portuguese newspaper A Bola , the 20-year-old admitted Mourinho was key in helping him settle in quickly.
Dalot said: "Manchester United's dressing room is fantastic, with players from many countries, created in different cultures in every respect, and I was received in the best way.
"Of course I had help from José Mourinho and all the Portuguese staff, as well as the Brazilian players, which makes everything easier on the communication level, even though I do well in English.
"The adaptation was good, quiet and, above all, progressive.”
Mourinho forked out £22 million to snap up Dalot from Porto, but only had six months working with the player before his sacking in December.
Dalot did play a crucial role in United's recent historic comeback against PSG to make it through to the Champions League quarter-finals, where they will face Barcelona .
And despite comparisons with his compatriot and United legend Cristiano Ronaldo , Dalot feels ready to stake his claim to become a United great.
He added: "What Ronaldo did here is guarded, no one can stir or alter.
"It was a beautiful page in the history of the club and I hope one day I can make my own story.”

the best buy by jm. price quality and age. a perfect buy for msn Utd. man Utd scouts should move their ass to look for more similar deals instead of going for overhyped young players and we'll established ageing players.

Now that's actually going something. Most of these rich players donate a joke amount. I don't think Mata's charity involving about 30 footballers had reached a million yet.
Probably because like other people, the majority of their money goes into financing something and that after paying a shitload of tax... its nobody's fault

I'm shocked more athletes don't do this stuff. And more actors paying back to the people and places where they started too.

Mourinho is a good manager no doubt but my problem with him is his dictatorship.sometimes he behave like he's bigger than the clubs,he felt he's indispensable and irreplaceable.with all Pep Guardiola achievement he stay humble,Klopp Pochetino, Zidane they all stay calm but mourinho will never stop bragging, fighting with his players, insult other manager's ever fighting with his employer.
