David De Gea has been left off Manchester United's official retained list with talks over a new contract still ongoing.
United have sent their to the Premier League and De Gea was the notable absentee.
'In terms of the goalkeeping department, discussions remain open with David De Gea over a potential new contract, while Tom Heaton and Nathan Bishop have had extensions triggered on their deals,' United wrote.
De Gea has agreed a new contract with Manchester United but it is still to be signed off by the club's hierarchy.
The proposed new deal would reduce his current £375,000-a-week salary and it remains to be seen if united will still look to bring in a new No 1 if he does stay.
The 32-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has been at United since 2011, but he will be a free agent on June 30.
As announced last month, centre-back Phil Jones is leaving after 12 years and 229 appearances for United while defender Axel Tuanzebe is departing after playing 37 games for the club.
