Kevin De Bruyne hailed a special night but felt he should have scored five after netting four times in Manchester City's thrashing of Wolves.
De Bruyne was the star of the show as City ran out 5-1 winners at Molineux to restore a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
With just two games to play and a goal difference plus seven better than second-placed Liverpool, City are closing in on a fourth title in five seasons.
De Bruyne began the rout after just seven minutes, completed a left-footed hat-trick inside 24 and then added a fourth on the hour.
He went close to a competition record-equalling fifth when he hit the post in the closing moments.
The Belgian told Sky Sports: 'It was pretty nice. When you score four goals it is always something special. It should have been five to be honest but I think we played well.
'We could have scored even more and to do that against a Wolves team who are defensively sound was really impressive.'
De Bruyne's stunning performance came just a day after City announced they had agreed a deal to bolster their attack with the prolific Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland next season.
De Bruyne appeared to offer a nod towards the club's stunning capture by celebrating his third goal with arms outstretched in the manner of Haaland, but he insisted that was just coincidence.
'I did a couple of interviews and they said (it was like) Haaland, but I didn't even know,' he said. 'I just did it because I scored three and that never happens.'
After thrashing Newcastle 5-0 at the weekend, City have scored 10 goals since their heartbreaking Champions League semi-final loss at Real Madrid.
De Bruyne said: 'The feeling is still not nice, but you need to move on. We try to now win the title and whatever happened unfortunately happened and you have to move on.'

You people give 5 reason why man City would lose the game and now they won you have come up with Madrid story. Less not forget that champions league is one winner, Villereal beat Bayer, if Madrid beat City its nothing to be ashamed off.

I'm a die hard Liverpool fan but I have to say Kudos to Mancity for clenching another PL title, they quality in the team is unrivaled even in comparison with the Reds (YNWA). without a doubt excluding the *GOATS* KDB is the most efficient and productive player imo. He can play across the front three and even multiple midfield positions, it's crazy that I'll still say with his accolades and applauds he is still underated, I'm a liverpolian so salah is naturally our king player but I so much Revere KDB even when he doesn't score or assist he is still brilliant. Halaand might not blast off in his initial season but Damn is he current and future superstar, If the other top 5 don't sit up and go all in CITY will farm the PL and domestic cups for years to come.

Imagine it was Ronaldo that scored those 4 goals? My goodness. Imagine Ronaldo won this season's EPL golden boot? Imagine Ronaldo leading Man U to UCL? Listen here, Messi played in one of the worst Barca sides, after the era of Xavi, Iniesta, Neymar and Suarez, yet at no point was Barca in danger of missing out on UCL football. Actually they competed with both RM and Atletico until the last few weeks of La Liga when Atletico won it. What a player. In Europa league, I believe Ronaldo's legacy will have a dent on it. If he runs away from Man U in search of UCL football, even a bigger dent. He would be a goat that wants to play in comfortable environments. Messi never left Barca, in good and bad times. They had to force him out. He would retire 2day, and his legacy still intact. He can retire after the WC for all I care. The joy of winning Copa America is infinite. He couldn't stand the disappointment of losing so many finals with Argentina, yet he never gave up, he kept calling back. Until he won it. What a true goat.
