Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente insists every player in his World Cup squad "is in perfect condition" and will be available for their opening match.

La Roja's final warm-up match on Monday ended in a 3-1 win over Peru, with Mikel Oyarzabal, Pedri and an own goal from Pedro Gallese setting them on their way to victory.

Spain are now unbeaten in their last 10 matches (W7 D3), while they are also undefeated in regulation time (90 minutes) in their last 30 games.

Rodri and Mikel Merino both featured against Peru as they look to reach full fitness, while Nico Williams, Lamine Yamal and Victor Munoz were left out of the squad as they look to return for Spain's opening match.

The European champions face Cape Verde in their opener on June 15, before fixtures against Saudi Arabia and Uruguay in the group stages.

After Spain's win over Peru, De La Fuente said: "We're satisfied with everything we've done. The players are in good shape; there haven't been any injuries.

"We'll be analysing various situations further in the coming days. I'm very pleased with the positive impression they've made.

"Rodri is already doing exceptionally well. For various reasons, we only gave him an hour, but he's fine now. And Merino is gradually getting more playing time.

"I think everyone will be ready, and I want to convey a sense of calm. Everyone is in perfect condition.

"And everyone will be available for the first match, including Nico, Lamine, and Victor, who have been training intensely in Chattanooga."

Spain will look to become the fourth nation to simultaneously hold both the Euros and the World Cup after West Germany (Euro 1972, WC 1974), France (WC 1998, Euro 2000) and Spain themselves (Euro 2008, WC 2010, Euro 2012).

La Roja are also currently unbeaten in their last 31 competitive matches (W25 D6), since a 2-0 loss at Scotland in March 2023, the nation's longest ever run of non-friendlies without defeat.
