The draw for the Champions League round of 16 has been completed, with a super group of death formed in the top half.
Six former Champions League winners — Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich — are all in the same half, and only one of them can reach the final.
Real Madrid (15 titles), Liverpool (6), Bayern Munich (6), Chelsea (2), PSG (1) and Man City (1) make up a combined total of 31 European Cup/Champions League trophies in the top half.
In contrast, only Barcelona (5 titles) have won the Champions League in the bottom half.
Atlético Madrid, Tottenham, Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen have all been runners-up in the competition.

@footballgard: “Barcelona won’t survive the Premier League.” “Barcelona can’t even beat Sunderland at home.” Now Barcelona get drawn against Newcastle and suddenly it’s, “They always have it easy.” So which one is it? I thought EPL teams were supposed to beat Barcelona comfortably? 🤔 The narrative keeps changing depending on what suits the argument. At this point, what exactly is the problem with Barcelona? 😅
