Denis Suarez will have to accept a significant drop in wages to sign for Celta Vigo as Iago Aspas will not cease his mantle of being the team's highest paid player next season.
Although Barcelona and Celta are close to reaching an agreement of around 15 million euros, the Galicians are not eager to offer him a contract close to his current seven million euro salary.
Carlos Mourino, the club's president, has made clear that there is a pecking order in terms of wages and this line won't be crossed for Denis.
Celta are keen to offer a long-term deal to the Barcelona midfielder, while Valencia are said to have withdrawn their interest in signing the 25-year-old.
