Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has wholeheartedly condemned the attack from some Manchester United supporters on executive vice chairman Ed Woodward's house on Tuesday evening.
The Norwegian said everyone at United was "disgusted" with the incident, which saw a group of balaclava-clad fans launching flares at Woodward's Cheshire home.
A video was posted onto social media on Tuesday night showing flares thrown over the house's front gates, with the caption 'Ed Woodward's gonna die'. Cheshire Police are investigating the incident.
And Solskjaer gave his own response to the incident, which comes in the wake of fan discontent with Woodward and United's Glazer family owners over the club's plight since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirment.
Speaking before the Manchester derby against Man City on Wednesday night, Solskjaer said he knew United's true fans would continue to be supportive and urged the club to stick together.
"I've got to say that everyone at the club and our proper supporters are disgusted with what happened," he told Sky Sports.
"We know our fans are passionate and opinions can be voiced in different ways but β I've said it before β we've got to stick together, stay United and I'm sure our fans will support us tonight."

it happens in city but my club arsenal totally depends on fan
... Not really. Again, most of Arsenal's revenue comes from the brand itself. Commercial deals. Which are founded on the Arsenal brand and how well they're run. Matchday revenue is Arsenals lowest metric.
lord_henry-14

That's simply NOT true. Manchester City have minimal fans. They have the second highest revenue in the EPL. That is undeniable proof that it is not fans who generate the big bucks. Success generates better commercial deals, which generates money, which can generate success. That is how real money is made it football. SUCCESS. Some of the smaller clubs in England have way bigger fan bases than City. nut they dont have the success. Simple as that.

oh they are hurting fans for 7 years by not taking right decision they hurt them all the time see korenke what are they doing how much they hurt us
It doesnt matter. Fans are only spectators. It sucks, I know but that is the truth. Fans can poor there heart and soul into a club but it's only for themselves and their fanbase community. It's to show support. It doesnt actually matter. Look at City. Always mocked for their tiny fan base. 2nd biggest revenue in the EPL. Barely behind United. Why? Because there are other ways for clubs to make money. A football team struggling for 7 years is not justification for violence. Newcastle used to be a top team. And Leads. Nottingham Forest were great once. Fans are disappointed by results, but they don't have the right to attack someone over it. They do not own the club. They do not have the right to dictate what should be happening at the club. Fans are just that, fans. Spectators with no real power. Together they can have influence in positive ways. Supporting their club and their players through think and thin. Peaceful protest. But they have 0 right to commit felonies because they are having a tantrum over the direction of something they do not own. End of. Football is not and never will be justification for violence.

No. They OWN the club. It is actually there legal right to do with it as they please. The LAW is on their side. If you own something and someone else loves it, you can throw it out. You do not need to take into account the person who loves it. It is not an obligation. Yes, it absolutely sucks that football can be treated like that but that doesnt change the fact that it can. Fans do not own United. The Glazers do. Therefore, it belongs to the Glazers by law. They can do with it what they please, BY LAW. Fans hurting United staff is illegal. United staff are not breaking any laws. Therefore, fans are the ones in the wrong. Nothing Woodward has done would.land him in prison. Those who've attacked him could well. Woodward is just a guy who isn't great at running a football club. Those who attacked him, are literal criminals.

Again. It isn't there job to care about the club. Fans who expect owners to have the same appreciation of the club that they do are naive. The world doesnt work like that. Business men buy clubs to make money, rarely because they have any positive feelings towards the club. That is the world of football. Some owners are the owners of clubs because they love the club or the sport, some clubs are owned by money launderers..., some clubs are owned by fans. Owners don't have to love a club. They don't have to be fans. That isn't in the contract, it's not an obligation. Also, Woodward is literally just doing his job. His job is not to care at all about Manchester United. It's to make money for his employers, the Glazers. And just a caveat there buddy... Woodward is British.

It's human nature to attack people when they hurt you? It's human nature to make two very innocent children be afraid of their own home? No. What separates people from animals is self control. If you can't control your temper you're still a child having a tantrum. Animals lash out at those who hurt them. Human beings are supposed to be more civilised than that. Ed Woodward is a human being, being in charge of United is his job. Even if United were relegated, it would not be justification for him to be attacked. He is a person, who deserves to feel safe in his own home just like the rest of us. Especially his family who did nothing wrong and yet their home has been attacked too. How can you possibly think its okay for two innocent kids to have been intimidated into feeling fear of their own home by fully grown masked men? That is an act of terror. If you attacked the Queen in the same manor you'd be dealt with swiftly. Because it's a crime. It's not okay. Football should never be used as an excuse to commit crimes.

I would NEVER endorse attacking Bartomeu's person. I'd just promote him getting outvoted come the new election. Barcelona are a fan owned club. The shareholders vote in the president. This situation doesnt happen at Barcelona because no individual owns them. Figo was handled disgracefully by fans, especially in the stadium. It was disgusting, I never said United fans were the scum. I said the specific United fans who attacked Woodward's house were the scum. Fans aren't scum, fans also wouldn't attack someones house, that's the act of criminals. Based on how worked up you got, I can see that you're crumbling. You asked ke to talk like a man. Let me tell you what a man would do in this situation. He would see that United are struggling and he would be greatly disappointed. But no self respecting man would attack the home of a man and his very innocent wife and children. That is the act of pathetic cowards. They wore masks and committed an act of terror. If they'd done it on foreign soil, or to the Prime Minister, it would be classed as an act of terrorism. And yet you think it's okay? Despicable. This behaviour is unacceptable, football should never create violence. Protest. Boycott games. Don't attack homes.

Woodwards wages are paid by the Glazers. Who are paid by the success of the club to secure commercial deals and prize money. The revenue directly generated by fans is actually quite small in comparison to the money brought about by winnings and commercial sponsorships, hence Man City still raking in huge commercial and success based sums despite not filling stadiums. Fans not attending the stadium would be absolutely fine. That is how you show a club that you're done with their crap. Attacking Woodward proves them to be absolute scum, not football fans. To attack a mans home where his wife and children life requires you to he an absolute piece of human garbage. Football will never justify such disgraceful actions.

... Why do people think that matters? Fans DO NOT have a say. There is nowhere in any footballing contract that gives fan opinions value. Fans are spectators, they are there to watch games and support their team. They have no board room rights. They have 0 control over the club. Staff have no obligation to consider them at all. Fan opinion causing change in the club is fine, not necessary for any club but fine. The fact that they got violent should keep Woodward in his job. That's what I'd do. Ask him to stay and play closed door matches until fans realised their place. It's unacceptable, this kind of garbage cannot happen.

I want us to know that, the fan's contributes a lot to the team. Whenever they found out that their voice are not heard, they hv the right to react the way they reacted.
No they DON'T. Fans DO NOT have rights in controlling football teams. Fans only rights in football is to watch and enjoy matches live and televised based on their behaviour. Unacceptable behaviour removes that right. Attacking the house of 2 young girls, making them no longer feel that their house is a safe place should carry a prison sentence. It's a disgrace. This is not a right, it's a crime. If you think this is a right, I hope the next person who disagrees with you, attacks your house in the middle of the night. If you think your attacker was in the wrong, you'd be hypocritical and pathetic. Seriously, grow up. This is unacceptable and they should all receive life time bans from football and court hearings.
