Standard Liege winger Moussa Djenepo has passed a medical with Southampton ahead of a £15million move.

Djenepo, who has joined up with the Mali squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, is set to finalise his move to Southampton next week.

As reported by Sky Sports, Djenepo's move is dependent on whether he receives a work permit.

Djenepo scored eleven goals and provided six assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for Belgium last season.

If the move goes ahead then the 20-year-old will become Ralph Hasenhuttl's first permanent signing as Southampton boss.

Djenepo has scored one goal in eight appearances for Mali. He joined Standard Liege, initially on loan, from Yeelen Olympique in 2017.

Having finished in 16th place in the Premier League last season, Southampton will be eager to finish higher next campaign.
