Italy’s national team goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma commented on the victory over Israel’s national team (3:0) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
"Every match is challenging now, so we have to fight for every point, and Israel gave us problems. We were very determined to keep a clean sheet, and that pleases me.
We talked with the guys that we can’t make mistakes in any match now, otherwise, you might lose direct qualification chances. Of course, I would like to replay that match against Norway because we were a different team. Now we need to look ahead, as we have a great chance. I am sure this is a strong team, and I am confident that we will make it to the World Cup," Donnarumma is quoted by Sky Sport Italia.
