Borussia Dortmund youngster Alexander Isak is closing in on a transfer to Real Sociedad, with reports in Spain claiming that he could have his medical on Tuesday.
After failing to make his Borussia Dortmund breakthrough, Isak was told to find a new club this summer. And according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the striker is on the verge of completing a move to Real Sociedad. The report says that La Liga side will pay Dortmund a fee of 10 million euros for Isak’s services, and the striker could have his medical exam on Tuesday.
Isak joined Borussia Dortmund from AIK for 8.6 million euros back in January 2017. He had to wait until March to make his debut, coming on as an 86th minute substitute in the 3-0 Pokal win over SF Lotte. His first start came in October in the Pokal tie against Magdeburg, where he scored his first and only goal for the Black and Yellows.
The young Swede did get a few chances under Peter Stoger last season, but was not considered for selection under Lucien Favre. As a result, he was sent on loan to Eredivisie side Willem II in January, where he found his form and scored 13 goals in 16 league games.
