Dutch referee Danny Makkelie will take charge the first leg of Real Madrid and Chelsea's Champions League semi-final this Tuesday at the Estadio Di Stefano.
The 38-year-old Makkelie, who also works as a policeman, refereed Real Madrid on March 16 in their 3-1 second leg victory over Italian side Atalanta.
He has refereed Chelsea twice before, a 1-1 draw vs Atletico Madrid in 2017 and a 6-0 win over Maribor in 2014.
Makkelie will be joined by his compatriots Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries and Kevin Blom will be in the VAR room.
