ECHO simulated Liverpool vs Palace on FIFA20 and it ended a 3-0 win by home team

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Liverpool fans won't be able to see their team in action this weekend, with all Premier League games postponed until April 30 at the very earliest, in order to combat the spread of the outbreak.

But that got us thinking, although the game won't be played on the real-life pitch, we can still play the game on a virtual pitch using FIFA 20, which would allow us to see what could have happened this weekend.

So, what lineup would Jurgen Klopp had gone for? And what would the score have been?

We used FIFA 20 to see what could have happened.

To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 20 but didn't select a team to control; we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a unique prediction.

The AI difficulty was set to legendary, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions. We also gave Atletico a one-goal advantage in-game, to make the simulation as realistic as possible.

We predict that Liverpool could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with the line-up as follows; Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Henderson; Mane, Firmino, Salah.

We predict that Crystal Palace could set up in a 4-1-4-1 formation, with their line-up as follows; Guaita; Ward, Dann, Cahill, Van Aanholt; Milivojevic; Zaha, McCarthy, McArthur, Ayew; Benteke.

FIFA 20 predicts that Liverpool would have cruised to victory against Palace this weekend, with Salah, Firmino and Mane on the scoresheet.

It took just three minutes for Liverpool to put Palace under pressure, with Firmino hitting the post with a shot from outside the area.

But it would take until just before half-time for the Reds to go in front, with Salah showing a real bit of quality to open the scoring.

The Egyptian skinned Van Aanholt on the right-hand touchline, powered into the box and unleashed an unstoppable near post strike to put Jurgen Klopp's side in front.

In the second-half, the Reds continued to perform to a high level, getting a second goal in the 56th minute.

Firmino produced a great turn inside the area, firing past Guaita, who was very suspect!

Mane finished Palace off late on, with a tap in at the far post after a cross from Salah.
