Carabao Cup round of 16 has come to an end as we now look to  the quarter-final.

After some titanic clashes in the fourth round, Liverpool come away with a win against Arsenal through penalty shootout after a TEN-goal thriller whilst Manchester United won 2-1 against Chelsea.

EFL Cup reigning champions Manchester City had an easier path to the quarter-final winning 3-1  against Southampton who they will face once again this weekend in the Premier League.

When is it?

The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw will take place at approximately 8:45am GMT on Thursday, October 31.

How to watch Carabao Cup draw?

The draw will not be televised instead it will be presented on Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.

The EFL Cup draw has traditionally been held on the live TV fixture with it being done after the televised game.

Who is hosting the draw?

Radio personality Zoe Ball will be joined by former England goalkeeper and League Cup winner David James.

James won the League Cup in 1994/1995 season with Liverpool after Steve McManaman scored two goals against Bolton Wanderers to make it 2-1 in the final at Wembley Stadium.

Who are teams taking part in the semi-final draw?

Manchester City, Everton, Leicester, Oxford United, Colchester, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester United 

When does Carabao Cup quarter-final start?

The EFL Cup quarter-final will take place on the week commencing Monday 16th December.

Does the Carabao Cup go to penalties after 90 minutes?

Yes.  Clubs voted in June 2018 to remove extra time from EFL Cup matches.

Only exception to the rule is the final which uses the traditional format of playing extra time after full-time before going to penalties if required.

Is VAR used in the Carabao Cup?

No. It was used last season but the EFL opted to get rid video assistant referee system on the grounds it was only being used at Premier League venues.
