ESPN: Guimaraes has agreement with Newcastle to leave if they miss Champions League

According to ESPN, Bruno Guimaraes, who is expected to arrive in England on Friday (31st), reached an "amicable agreement" with Newcastle United several months ago, making his transfer easier to push through if the team failed to qualify for the 2026/27 Champions League.

ESPN understands that a private conversation between the Brazilian player and club officials in late 2023 was seen as a "commitment" to push for the transfer. However, the deal has yet to materialize this European summer transfer window.

Bruno Guimaraes is reportedly dissatisfied with the current situation, as Newcastle has not yet accepted Arsenal's latest offer of £75 million.

Even more enraged is the recently dismissed Eddie Howe, who always had a good relationship with Bruno Guimaraes.

Before leaving, the English coach specifically expressed his disappointment to the club regarding the management's handling of player issues.

Arsenal is very confident and intends to complete the signing of Bruno Guimaraes as soon as early August, not wanting to drag out this transfer saga any longer. The Gunners even see this deal as a "battle for honor."
