This is an absolutely amazing signing and I think it was a great decision to let him go by Chelsea. He wanted to go back to Madrid so that he could see his 2 children who lives there while he payed in England. He is a great keeper and I think that he will be exceptional this season and that Real can get father in the league than least year with the Belgium goalkeeper. Best of luck to you at Real, Courtois. 👍👍

I think Real M got a bargain, given how much top keepers have commanded of late. We forget that when Chelsea preferred him to Cech, Petr was one of the top handful of ‘keepers in the world. Yet the club rated Coutois even more highly. And no one could really dispute their judgment. Yes age had something to do with it but he is now only 26 or 27 - peak years for a ‘keeper. Chelsea had to pay $70m + to replace him.
