Nick Pope was back in action for Burnley just 12 days after the end of his World Cup campaign with England.
The Clarets goalkeeper was named in the starting line-up for Thursday's Europa League tie at Aberdeen.
Pope had just 10 days off following England's third place play-off defeat by Belgium in Russia on July 14.
Pope was an unused substitute as Gareth Southgate's men were beaten 2-0 by Belgium in the Saint Petersburg Stadium.
While most of his England team-mates are on a summer break following their World Cup exertions, Pope was back training on Tuesday.
Although he didn't feature in the tournament he was training with the Three Lions in Russia and Burnley boss Sean Dyche had no concerns about throwing him back into action against the Scottish Premiership side.
Asked if he could feature at Pittodrie on Thursday, Dyche said: 'We'll see. He's had 10 days, he should come back in pretty much ready to go.'
Burnley are competing in Europe for the first time in 51 years.
The winner will play Istanbul Basaksehir, who finished third in the Turkish league, in the third qualifying round.
