Enzo makes Chelsea feelings clear with admission amid transfer exit rumours

Chelsea transfer news - Enzo Fernandez has been rumoured with a potential exit, but he has made his feelings clear.

The midfielder made the switch to west London in January, joining for a reported £106.5million fee from Benfica, off the back of an impressive World Cup with Argentina. The 22-year-old came with big expectations and fulfilled that with some of his performances early on.

A draw to Liverpool and a victory over Luton Town have proven to be positive points in the formative games, however defeats to West Ham and Nottingham Forest mean only four points were taken from the first four games. Since then, there have been suggestions that Fernandez could well leave if things don't pick up.

Despite those recent claims, the midfielder appears to have made his feelings clear on Chelsea during the international break. Discussing his past year, he told La Nacion: "We know what the World Cup generates.

"It opens the doors to many places, as happened to me, who was at Benfica and my move to Chelsea was very great. I always said that playing in the Premier was my dream. I am very grateful to Chelsea for the opportunity.”

It seems clear that, at least for now, full focus is on Chelsea and that alone as the Blues look to kick on with their project and get it fully on route to the plan made by the new ownership.
