A crowd of 59,215 watched Tottenham's first ever first-team fixture at their new stadium on Wednesday night... and midfielder Erik Lamela was among them.
Lamela was unable to feature in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace due to a hamstring issue, but he told his Instagram followers that he hopes to be on the pitch soon.
The former Roma star uploaded a video of Spurs fans waving flags and captioned it with the message: 'I can't wait to be playing here'.
Lamela sat in the stands at the 62,062-seater arena along with his partner Sofia Herrero and their son Tobias.
Alongside a photo of the stadium taken before kick-off, Lamela wrote: 'I'm in love'.
Lamela also shared a picture of himself posing with Tottenham's match-day master of ceremonies Paul Coyte.
Despite Eric Dier, Serge Aurier and Fernando Llorente also being unavailable through injury, Spurs ran out deserved winners over Palace thanks to goals from Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen.
Lamela has started just eight of Tottenham's 32 Premier League games so far this season, with a further 10 appearances coming off the bench. He has scored four goals.
