Erik ten Hag has revealed that Antony is 'disappointed' by his current situation and admitted there is no end date when he might re-join his Manchester United team-mates.
Antony is currently spending time away from the club while he addresses allegations of domestic abuse. The player denies any wrongdoing and has not been arrested or charged.
The assault allegations were made by three separate women including former partner Gabriela Cavallin, who has claimed the footballer assaulted her four times.
The 23-year-old is unavailable for this weekend's game with Brighton after United and the player mutually agreed an indefinite leave of absence from the club.
United manager Ten Hag, who was responsible for bringing Antony to the club in a £85m deal with Ajax last summer, has spoken out about the situation for the first time ahead of Saturday's Premier League encounter but revealed very little about the ongoing situation.
The Dutchman admitted he has 'no idea' when Antony will return to the club.

Still many players out of action, a big worry for ManU. We are also still getting disrespectful criticism from Goldbridge which is not helping with transfers and what our players are worth globally and locally, I think he must start to quiet about these things and maybe we will start to see the transfers we need. Our new player Amrabat has picked up another injury, I really hope he is not injury prone because we are desperate in needing strikers. I hope Hojlund can contribute to our goal scoring against Brighton. Good luck Team and Ten Hag. It was nice to see Greenwood getting support in Spain, the Spanish people seem to accept his innocence over accusations from people who can’t prove them and the doctoring of photos and videos on the internet was not helping and people still believe them when they know this kind of crap happens all the time. I really hope Antony doesn’t have to through the same.
