Erik ten Hag's first game in charge of Manchester United at Old Trafford will be against Rayo Vallecano on 31 July.
Rayo Vallecano, who are from Madrid, finished 12th in LaLiga last season and own two former Manchester United players in Radamel Falcao and Bebe.
The game will conclude Manchester United's pre-season preparations prior to the start of the 2022-23 Premier League season which kicks off on August 6.
Ten Hag and his Manchester United side will tour Thailand and Australia this summer before heading to Oslo for a game against Atletico Madrid in the Norway capital before returning home for the fixture against Rayo Vallecano.
Speaking upon the announcement of the fixture, Football Director John Murtough said: 'Pre-season is all about preparation and this is a great opportunity for those squad members who may not have featured in some of our earlier Tour and pre-season matches to get valuable minutes on the pitch - and where better to do this than Old Trafford?
'This will be the new manager’s first match at Old Trafford, and I am sure the fans will provide him with a warm welcome.'
Meanwhile, it has also been announced that 10 per cent of the profits from the game will be donated to the Manchester United Foundation and 'its work within the community.
'We are delighted to be able to offer fans the opportunity to share in the experience of Erik Ten Hag’s first match in the dugout at Old Trafford,' Manchester United's COO Collette Roche said.
'As well as the chance to see some of the Club’s up and coming stars, fans purchasing tickets for this match will also be contributing towards a fantastic cause, with the club donating 10 percent of profits from the game to Manchester United Foundation and its work within the community,' they added.
Perhaps aside from Ten Hag's Old Trafford berth, another layer of intrigue attached to the game will be the returns of Falcao and Bebe to Salford.
Both players struggled to light up Old Trafford in their respective stints with the club despite fans have great hopes for both of them at particular stages.
Rayo Vallecano itself is often thought to be the third club in Madrid after Real and Atletico, but despite this it finished below local rivals Getafe in LaLiga last season.
The club is managed Andoni Iraola, who played for Athletic Bilbao across 12 seasons in the Spanish top flight.
The game will be shown live across various Manchester United platforms, including MUTV and the club's website and app.
