Eriksen, Vertonghen & Alderweireld set to reject Tottenham offers (Star)

Tottenham are concerned that star trio Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld could all follow Danny Rose's lead and leave the club on free transfers next summer.

The England defender admitted on Wednesday that he won't be going anywhere until his deal runs out in 2021.

Things could get worse for Spurs though with Eriksen, Alderweireld and Vertonghen all on course to leave the club on free transfers next summer.

And, according to the Daily Star, the trio all considering rejecting any new contract offers that come their way to allow them to move for nothing at the end of this season.

That would ensure Spurs fail to make any money from their sales and lose out on potential income that could be used to improve Mauricio Pochettino's squad.

Eriksen was linked with a move away from Spurs throughout the summer but failed to agree a deal with any club.

Defensive duo Vertonghen and Alderweireld, meanwhile, have also been linked with transfers in recent years but nothing has materialised.

Having left Rose out of their pre-season tour to allow him to find a new club, the left back was due to be among the players Spurs were open to offers for in January.

But Rose said: 'It's pretty obvious what happened [in the summer]. People upstairs at Tottenham were trying to do what they were trying to do. I've said [to them] I've got 18 months left on my contract and I'm not going anywhere until my contract has finished.

'In January, you're probably going to hear something [about my future]. I'm telling you right now that I'm not going anywhere until my contract is finished.

'[Chairman] Daniel Levy told me in the summer there was no new contract for me at Tottenham, which is fine. I respect that. We move on.

'I know what people were trying to do in the summer... There were no bids - that was rubbish.'
