The secret behind Erling Haaland's incredible record-breaking season at Manchester City has been revealed as the striker posted pictures consuming a 'magic potion'.

The forward netted a brace against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first leg before getting another two goals against Leicester City, followed by a goal in the second leg at the Allianz Arena.

These strikes saw Haaland bring his goal tally up to 48 for the season in a remarkable debut season in England.

Haaland has now revealed the secret behind his goalscoring form as he is powered by milk smoothies laced with spinach and kale.

Taking to Instagram, the striker posed with two pints of milk as he captioned the image 'me and my magc potion'.

His Man City teammate Ruben Diaz replied to Haaland's revelation, posting laughing emojis in the comments as spirits are high at the Etihad following their quarter-final victory in the Champions League.

Haaland's father Alfie, a former Man City player, offered to help his son as he said that he would milk cows in Norway and personally deliver the pints to the forward to help him ekeep up his fine form.

Haaland is 11 goals clear of second top-scorer Harry Kane and he will be hoping to add to his goal tally when City face Arsenal next week in a top of the table clash.

He will look to get his daily dose of milk, kale and spinach before the match with Pep Guardiola no doubt keen for the forward to remain happy both on and off the pitch as his side seek a historic treble.

City face Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend and will take on holders Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final after they defeated Chelsea.
