Harry Maguire insists England will not settle for making the semi-finals of Euro 2020 after crushing Ukraine in Rome.
The Manchester United centre-back headed in either side of Harry Kane's double at the Stadio Olimpico, before Jordan Henderson scored his first international goal to confirm a meeting with Denmark at Wembley on Wednesday.
Their place in the last four comes around three years after Gareth Southgate's men reached the last four in Russia in the 2018 World Cup before they lost to Croatia.
But Maguire insists the goal this time around is to better that achievement, as he urged the Three Lions to keep making improvements.
'It's a great feeling, back to back semi-finals at a major tournament is a great achievement,' Maguire, 28, said.
'I don't want to be the party pooper but we have another big game coming up. We want to go further than the World Cup, the way we have done it shows progress we are making.
'Long may the improvement continue. We have another big one coming up.
'I think it's hard to soak it all in when you have another big one coming up and you know when you're playing and where.
'Tomorrow we will wake up and be focused again. This set of players are not settling for semi-finals. We have another big one.'
Maguire also praised the belief the current dressing room has, and believed his goal from Luke Shaw's delivery helped calm any jitters for England.
'We have great belief in the dressing room,' Maguire continued.
'The first half was tough and we got an early goal. They caused us a few problems with the shape and they changed it.
'The second goal settled us down, then we controlled the game really well. We got the third and fourth which we deserved on the night.
'It was an impressive performance in the end. We have to recover and have another big one coming up.'
The Man United defender also claimed set pieces were a big talking point among the England camp before the game, and was therefore delighted to see his goal and Henderson's header from Mason Mount make a difference.
'We spoke before the game that we needed to be better on attacking set plays so we got two tonight from me and Jordan,' Maguire added.
'It was a great ball from Luke and a great connection. It was always going in after that.'

Maguire , did you defend well on the match ? To me NO .. you better gear up yourself next match . Yes you did score a goal . Without your goal England is 3 lvl above Ukraine .
You are just a donkey at the def . Like a empty rock . Look big but soft inside .
