Manchester United were embarrassed by a rampant Everton at Goodison Park as their top-four chances were dealt a significant blow.
Match Report
Everton compounded a miserable few days for Manchester United with their biggest ever Premier League win over the sorry Red Devils in a 4-0 rout at Goodison Park.
Just five days on from crashing out of the Champions League quarter-finals at the hands of Barcelona, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side produced a dismal performance to slump to another heavy defeat.
Well-taken goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson had the Toffees 2-0 up at the break before Lucas Digne's sweetly struck effort and Theo Walcott's cool finish completed a memorable win.
United are two points off fourth but will be three adrift if Arsenal overcome Crystal Palace and the inquest will surely soon begin after a nightmare outing that strikes a huge blow to their hopes of featuring at Europe's top table next season.

11' CHANCE! Richarlison's shot saved
Great chance for Everton to take thea lead, but Richarlison is denied by a superb stop by De Gea. The ball falls perfectly to Richarlison on the edge of the six yard box and the striker turns and fires a low shot towards the near post.

Where can the clueless man utd C.E.O Woodward and the underperforming players hide now? Mourinho is gone and things are getting worse. When he said he needed defender left right centre the board thought he is an amateur now the truth is here huge as it comes.

I thk Ed Woodward needs to go with almost 98% of our sqaud cos they have proven that they aren't worthy of wearing the united jersey. This is the poorest performance of the season and honestly speaking, ther is no way we are getting back to top, now we shd start with preparations towards winning europa league next season. These players must leave by all means possible Jones, fred, lukaku, martial, matic, smalling and even de gea cos it's becoming clear that he finds it difficult catching outside balls. But still united till I die, win lose or draw EUROPA, HERE WE COME

8 - David de Gea has now conceded eight goals from outside the box in the Premier League this season; the only PL season that he's conceded more from long range was 2013-14 (9).

United fans, remember what yall was saying to us when we lost to Bournemouth. I told yall Karma will get you. United are about as bad as us but unlike United, we aren't actually lacking huge in any area that would be an absolute heart attack... United need a squad overhaul. Also Zouma is looking good again, maybe can be recalled as a CB for us... expect United and Arsenal to drop a lot of away points...

Poor quality of defence let Manchester United down throughout the year. Its due to the inefficiency of Executive Director Ed Woodward. He has no football background. He was a banker. How Manchester United Board selected him as Chief Executive is not known . To show his power he was in quarrel with Jose Mourinho and did not recruit any player in defence or in wide right. So Ole has nothing to do. The players are not dedicated. They have no sense of the importance of a game to qualify for champions league. The wages of the players must not be enhanced. If anybody wants to leave let him go. Be strict. They are after better money not winning the game.
